As the COVID-19 pandemic begins to directly affect the Sioux Falls, Yankton, and Rapid City areas, those working on the front lines in health care will probably need additional assistance with reliable childcare and other personal services in order to continue caring for our community. As medical, allied health profession, or graduate students we are in a unique position to provide these services and help our community. Based on your willingness and community need, you will be matched with a family to provide babysitting or another service of your choosing.
These services are provided voluntarily by you and are neither endorsed by, nor provided in association with, any university, college or institution.
Once matched with a family, please communicate with them directly to understand their needs and how you can help. We will do our best to match you based on all the information you provide.
Guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 include regular hand-washing, covering coughs/sneezes, and social distancing, etc.
DO NOT sign up if you have had a fever, or shortness of breath in the past two weeks; traveled to a high-risk area requiring mandatory quarantine; been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19; or, are not up to date with your vaccines, including influenza.
This is student-run and is completely voluntary. All we ask is that you do your best to communicate.
Please contact us with any questions, concerns, or inquiries. We're more than happy to hear from you!
